I Can't Believe It's Not VitePress

Starlight, wearing VitePress's clothes. One centred column, Inter, and a table of contents that stays within reach of the words it describes.

One band, centred

Sidebar, prose and contents are capped at a single width and centred. Widen the window past that and the slack goes to the margins, not between the columns.

No override layer

Starlight is written against --sl-* tokens. The theme re-points those instead of stacking a second stylesheet on top of the first.

Inter, self-hosted

The variable cut with the optical sizing axis intact, exactly as VitePress ships it. Only the subsets a page actually uses get downloaded.

Three components

Only the page frame, the two-column split and the contents rail are replaced — and they replace Starlight’s CSS rather than adding to it.
